Friday 24th January

Our journey Together Towards Healthy Church 2025 needs God’s guidance. I am hereby calling for a National Monthly Day of Prayer and Fasting for those who are able to fast. Those who are not able to fast, I request that they join us in prayer on the day of the fast. The prayer and fasting will take place once a month, on the first day of the lunar month, that is, on New Moon day.

The fast will start in the morning after breakfast, and will end the following morning with breakfast to break the fast. The evening between the two mornings will be the prayer night. For example, if the fast is on a Wednesday, the Wednesday breakfast will be your last meal, until breakfast on Thursday morning. Wednesday evening will be a prayer night. Where possible, members who are participating, who are able to get together at somebody’s house to pray together should do so. Alternatively, those who are able to connect electronically with one another, can do that through WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, etc. You don’t have to be physically in the same place, although that is better if possible. The group prayer meeting can last 30 minutes to the whole night, depending on your circumstances.

The focus for the prayer this Friday will be: The leadership of the church (i.e. Greg Williams, Kalengule Kaoma, Takalani Musekwa, your Regional Pastor, your Local Pastor/s), members of your local congregation, a hunger for God and his work, and the 2020 plans of your congregation. Thank you for those who are able to join the monthly fast.
